There is the in-game mod system, but as with the workshop of old, I don't recommend it. Let me get this straight, you have watched videos, you have checked forums and everything else, and yet, somehow, you did not see anywhere that SSE does not have workshop mods for it? Absolutely amazing. As others have mentioned, there is no workshop for Skyrim SE mods.
